If you're visiting Kodiak, Monk's Rock is a must. Amazing food, friendly staff, organic ingredients, and wonderful coffee all in a super cool little venue. Can't wait to go back! I literally had the best corn beef sandwich I've ever eaten in my life here. It was house-made corned beef and the bread was made in house. All delicious. There teas are very tasty as well. And they have honey crystals to put in the teas which is very cute. The atmosphere is really unique as well. And they sell a lot of cool little knickknacks. Great coffee good food and great service. If and when you can catch them when they're open please make it a point to stop in. Their food is amazing! It must be made known that the students are made to work for room and board. They are never paid a dime. This is not only wrong, but illegal. Paisius who is their leader has been removed from the priesthood due to psychological and emotional abuse. He continues to be in power and continues to abuse the students. If you are still at the Academy, please come forward and make your statement known.
