We were on Kodiak for a work conference for a week in early October 2017. We felt like we lucked out by finding Channel View. We stayed in the studio, a spacious apartment with a beautiful view out over the channel and nearby islands. The space was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. Everyday when we came back from our work meetings, it felt like we were coming home, and we were recharged every morning. The hosts, Mary and Ron, are very hospitable and warm. They took great care of us, giving us recommendations on things to do (hikes, drives, restaurants, etc.). They were very gracious to spend some time with us, showing us some maps of the island, and sharing some of their stories and experiences with us (as well as some of Ron's homemade salmon caviar!). We had a great time, would recommend it to anyone, and will definitely return if we find ourselves on Kodiak Island again in the future! We were luckily enough to get a last minute reservation for A Channel View B&B. Very nice property and rooms, everything was extremely clean comfortable. Would highly recommend. A great view of the channel from the studio. Very big room with nice décor. The view was awesome. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommended. (Note: To get to the room there is an outside flight of stairs. If stairs give you trouble, keep this in mind.)
