Not your average Alaskan destination. You are greeted by a warm and friendly team that take you into their family for a week. The food is great along with the fishing. You travel on their seagoing boat up the waterway to the ocean. On the way you may see bear walking the shore. You may pause to catch halibut or rock fish. At the end of your stay you take with you your frozen and process fish. I have travelled inland to the wilderness and slept for a week in tents. This is a much better way to go. A popular event is the session in the steam house, sauna for some and then a cold dip into the salt water. You will not find nicer people or more comfortable accommodations. Besides all this the fishing is great and they smoke your fish and package it for shipment at your direction. Darrell Long
