They charged another guests room on my credit card that was only discovered when reviewing the credit card statement. Called to sort it out and was told an email would be sent explaining how they'd removed the charge. No email was sent and when called back the next day they claimed they never received a call from me and didn't know what I was talking about. Highly recommend you check your credit card statement. Facilities were clean and staff was friendly and they did their best to be welcoming. The breakfast they provide is good We had such a splendid stay here. The downtown location is ideal for access to the best restaurants and view of the harbor. Bird viewing was easy from the lounge and restaurant, ideal for seeing ships come and go and views of the mountains. We loved the abundant continental breakfast with eggs, meat, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, pastries, cereal, oatmeal... delicious! Not to mention the fresh coffee (with French vanilla creamer, half and half, AND hazelnut creamer options). Lots of close by parking options. Because if you're coming to Kodiak to visit- you'll need a rental car. It is an older hotel, but the awesome staff have cared for it so nicely. The room we were in was small. And the bathroom is very tiny. Luckily Kodiak is so awesome, you won't want to spend much time in the hotel room anyway. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kodiak. This is a great place to stay on Kodiak Island AK. Rooms were great, the lounge was friendly and offered good drinks and a light menu. The restaurant featured dinners that were delish! Bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was powerful. We had shuttle service to and from the airport. There was storage for luggage after checkout to be held while were were on a tour. Have gone twice so far during our stay and both times the food has been great. The service depends on who you get, our first time the server was very friendly and polite. The second time not so much, she wasn't rude but just not very welcoming or outgoing. We visited during the weekend dinner time and got seated right away. We are here for another 7 days and might go one more time but will look for something a bit more inviting Wifi was surprisingly good. Hotel friendly to hunters and accommodating. Shuttle to-from airport.
